Amy Williamson, Center Director

AmyAmy holds a degree in creative writing and a certificate in child development. While a writer at heart, she is called to work with and advocate for children and family systems. Previously the Director of Education at Epiphany Parish of Seattle, she is very fond of the joys, whims, and conundrums of children, especially the transition years (grades 5-9) and the formative years (1.5 - 5 years). Believing that "play" is the best source of learning for anyone, her pedagogical stance is one that allows for continuity between thought and considered learning models.

Currently, she enjoys spending time with her children, building a network in the community with educators, parents, and families, and working as an advocate for children in the juvenile court system as a CASA. An avid reader and writer, look for Williamson as "author" in her next iteration.

Nina Williams, Preschool Head Teacher

Nina Nina Williams is an extraordinary seasoned teacher. She is a certified K-8 teacher, having spent nine of the past 10 years at the French-American School of Puget Sound. Miss Nina is loving, nurturing, and is able to set up a structure for the children wherein they feel safe and free. She utilizes song, stories, and instruction in French and English. In addition, she is a Second Step expert and has modified this non-violence and conflict reduction curriculum to fit the needs of a 2-5-year-old environment. We are truly lucky to have such an extraordinary teacher!

Julie Strong, Co-Teacher

Julie is a woman who knows children! She has taught at the Jewish Stroum Early Learning Program, the Wedgwood Community Center, and was the private teacher (a.k.a., nanny) of a precocious young boy from birth to kindergarten. Her specialties are music, movement, storytelling, acting/drama/theatre, and office organization. (Yay!) She also returns phone calls. And that's good for everyone.
