The learning center studioTutoring at Baker Language & Learning Center is offered to students from all walks of life, preschool through high school. We encourage a Socratic method of dialogue; that is, we like to see students asking questions and then developing the skills to research for those ancillary answers. In this way, a student begins to develop a critical approach and a life-long love of learning.

Our Academic LABs™ include MathBasics, ReaderBasics, Vocabulary Builder, Algebra, GrammarBasics, and a Specialized Reader Series.

Academic assistance is offered in blocks of 50-minute sessions in the following disciplines:

Writing: composition, architecture, paragraph construct, idea organization, four purposes of writing, literary analysis, comparative literature

Reading: practice, comprehension, pronunciation, enhance vocabulary and word recognition

Grammar: parts of speech, punctuation, vocabulary, spelling, effective language use
