 Welcome to Baker Language & Learning Center Preschool. Our Early Enrollment period is between January 1 - February 15, and priority is given to currently enrolled students and their siblings. Otherwise, we admit on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the year until our slots are full. After that, you may apply to be on the wait list. There is a $55 non-refundable deposit to be on the wait list, and a $55 non-refundable application fee to apply for enrollment at BLLC. | In order to be considered for admission to Baker, we must receive a completed Application, along with the application fee, non-refundable deposit (on the application), and the last month's tuition. Financial assistance is available, as are alternative payment arrangements. Financial Aid forms should be requested and filled out at the same time. In addition to the application, we are now asking parents to submit a letter of recommendation from a PEPS worker, a friend, or a teacher at a Parent-Child program (such as the ones offered at Seattle Community Colleges). Evaluation Process Once the School has received the application forms, the director will set a date for student assessment. Age-appropriate activities will give us information about the child's social and cognitive ability and potential as well as help the teachers assess personality, group skills, and interests. Notification of Admissions Re-enrollment of existing students must be received by the School by March 1st. Once available openings are determined and the testing of applicants are complete, staff meets to determine the selection of students for the next school year. Factors considered in the admissions process include gender and age balance for each class and diversity of students. Enrollment decisions will be mailed in April. Financial Aid decisions are made in April. Parents will be notified by mail. | ||||||||
